Structured leadership and self-confident navigation in the new world of work

The new world of work is characterised by negotiation processes and more participation. In the past, decisions were made by the boss, but today they are increasingly made within the organisational system: Flat hierarchies, digitalisation, virtual working and agile working characterise everyday working life. In order to manage all of these processes well, a different type of leadership and communication is much more important than before.

Agile leadership means creating a work and organisational culture with rules and an operating system for collaboration in the face of complex framework conditions. This allows faster and more flexible action on the basis of binding framework conditions and clarified roles. This training provides key data on agile leadership and uses the Haufe quadrant model to present a scheme for categorising your own company and its potential in terms of agility. In particular, the opportunities and limitations of the area of tension between hierarchy and self-control are emphasised, hypotheses with key questions for checking one’s own “agility potential” are presented and discussed in a moderated collegial exchange. On this basis, the participants develop their individual visions of the future and concrete measures for dealing with agility in their organisation. Last but not least, they will define the degree of agility they want to see in their own leadership actions in order to make the organisational system and workforce adaptable to digital and technological change.

In addition to a fundamental examination of the topic of leadership and agility, this training also helps you learn to sharpen your focus in order to recognise communication pitfalls in an agile environment that go hand in hand with flat hierarchies, personal responsibility and more participative decision-making. You will learn the basics of successful conflict management and the path to constructive solutions and practise using specific case studies from practice. This will enable you to understand from a systemic perspective what organisational solutions are needed to create effective and constructive communication and prevent conflicts.
