Changing School Management

In 2016, a qualitative impact analysis was carried out for the Montag Stiftung Jugend und Gesellschaft (Montag Foundation Youth and Society). p4d evaluated, from headteachers’ viewpoints, opportunities and challenges of their leadership decisions, set against the background of the inclusion topic in a North Rhine-Westphalia municipality. For this purpose, 21 headteachers of different school types were surveyed during in-depth interviews. The aim was to provide results that could serve as a basis for the Montag Foundation’s training activity “Headteachers fit for inclusion”. The study will be continued in 2017 with heads of schools from another North Rhine-Westphalia municipality, this time dealing with the topic “School Management, Change and Innovation”.
